Verified Company Squads

A Verified Company Squad is your company's official home on daily.dev. It works like any other Squad, with members, posts, and comments, but daily.dev has confirmed who runs it. Developers see a Verified Company Squad seal next to its name, so they know the posts and replies come from you and not from a fan page or an imitation.

Companies use it to put their engineering content where developers already read, to answer questions in the comments under their own name, and to show their products to people looking them up.

Regular Squad vs. Verified Company Squad

Verification does not change the rules. A Verified Company Squad follows the same content guidelines as every other Squad, and your posts are organic posts, not ads.

What you get

A Verified Company Squad keeps what a regular Squad already has: posts, comments, polls, rules, moderation, Squad analytics, Boost, and the Slack integration. Verification adds the rest.

A seal developers recognize

The Verified Company Squad seal, a scalloped badge with a check mark, follows your Squad around daily.dev. It sits right after the Squad's name wherever the name shows: on the Squad page, in the Squads Directory, in search results and the command palette, in the sidebar list of Squads, on post pages and in the "Posted in" line of a post, in the "Post to" picker of the composer, on tool pages, and on member profiles. Where only the Squad's logo shows, such as the avatar stack on a feed card, the seal sits on the logo instead. It never shows twice on the same card.

Your Squad page also gets a purple Verified Company Squad card at the top of the sidebar. Squads that daily.dev features in the directory get a blue Featured Squad card in the same spot, so the two never read as one thing. A Squad can carry both.

RSS and YouTube auto-posting

We connect the RSS feeds and YouTube channels you already publish on, and auto-post new items into the Squad. Posts from those sources land in one place, and members get a notification when something new arrives. You keep publishing where you already publish.

Discoverable on daily.dev from day one

A new Squad usually has to build up activity before daily.dev starts showing it around. A Verified Company Squad does not wait. From the day it is set up, developers can find it in the feed, in daily.dev search, and in the Squads Directory.

Indexed off daily.dev from day one

Search engines index the Squad from day one. The same public page is what AI tools and agents read when they look your company up on the web.

Priority ranking

When developers browse a directory category, look at which Squads use a tool, or search for Squads, verified Squads rank ahead of regular ones. In Squad search, they sit right below exact name matches. That is a higher place in the ordering, shared with other verified Squads. It is not a promise that every verified Squad is listed first.

Your brand color on the Squad header

Pick your brand color and the Squad header takes it in two places: a gradient that fades from your color into the page under the cover image, and the header button. Everything else on the page keeps the daily.dev look, so your Squad feels like yours and still belongs in the feed around it. Every visitor sees the color, signed in or not.

Your own header button

A Verified Company Squad can put its own button in the header, where every Squad shows Join Squad. Visitors still see Join Squad. Once a developer joins, your button takes that spot: same place, rightmost in the action row, in your brand color if you have set one, with a label you choose, such as "Start free trial" or "Read the docs", linking to any page, on your site or elsewhere. It opens in a new tab. Leave Squad lives in the options menu.

A featured product section

Your Squad page includes a featured product section: a shelf of the products you want developers to see, plus a page that lists them all.

A dedicated tool page for every product

Add up to 20 products. Every product gets its own dedicated tool page in the daily.dev tools catalog. You control how each one is presented: name, tagline, description, pricing (Free, Freemium, Paid, or Open source), logo, and up to 5 links.

When a tool's official source is your Squad, the tool page shows it as a card at the top, with the seal, your description, member count, and a Join button that works for signed-out visitors too.

Dofollow links back to your site

Your website appears in the Squad header, and a Links card in the sidebar holds up to 10 more links: your docs, GitHub, Discord, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, or anything else. These are dofollow links, so search engines count them as links from daily.dev to your site. Links inside posts on daily.dev are nofollow.

Your website and links are also added to the Squad page's structured data, which helps search engines connect the Squad to your company.

An ad-free Squad page

Your Squad page has no ads at all. The feed, search inside the Squad, and your posts stay clear of ads and sponsored placements. Competitors cannot buy a spot in front of the developers on your page. Your community gets a cleaner space, and you sponsor that space for them.

Setting up your branding

Admins and moderators set the brand color and the header button under Manage > Branding on the Squad page, at /squads/[handle]/manage/branding. The section only exists on Verified Company Squads. A sketch of the header at the top of the form shows where the color and the button land as you edit, and changes go live when you click Save.

• Pick one of the six swatches, type a hex code, or open the system color picker for any color. Hex codes use six digits, like FF570A.
• The text on the button turns white or dark on its own, whichever reads better on your color. Below the picker, a readout shows which one it chose and the contrast ratio. A check mark means the pair passes the WCAG AA threshold of 4.5:1. A "low contrast" note means it does not, and a slightly darker or lighter shade usually fixes it.
• Clear the field to go back to the default look. Without a brand color, the header has no gradient and the header button is the standard primary button.

Header button

• Turn on Header button to show it. Members, moderators, and admins see it in place of Join Squad. Off, members see Joined as on any other Squad.
• Pick one of the preset labels (Start free trial, Read the docs, Install the GitHub app, Book a demo, Join our Discord) or write your own, up to 24 characters.
• Add the link. It has to be a full address starting with https:// (or http://), and the form starts from your Squad's website if you have set one.
• Turning the button off keeps the label and link you saved, so turning it back on later restores them.

How to get a Verified Company Squad

You cannot switch verification on from your Squad settings. The daily.dev team sets it up with you.

1. Go to business.daily.dev and book a call with our team. If your company already runs a Squad, share its handle.
2. We agree on what your company needs and sign the plan with you.
3. We send you a short onboarding form for your page details: logo, description, website, links, and products. You can change anything later.
4. We verify your existing Squad, or build a new one for you, and switch on your features. Your admins then manage the Squad from Manage on the Squad page, and set the brand color and header button themselves under Manage > Branding.
