Manage your Squad with AI

Get an AI summary
Your Squad can be run end to end from your AI agent. Connect the daily.dev MCP server in Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, VS Code or any MCP client, and your agent can edit your company page, manage its products, members and seats, read its analytics, and publish to it, all in plain language.
https://api.daily.dev/mcp
Your agent acts as you. It can do what you can do on the Squad in the app, nothing more: an admin's agent can do everything on this page, a moderator's agent what moderators can do. Prefer code over an agent? Every tool is also a public API endpoint under https://api.daily.dev/public/v1.
What your agent can do
Find your company page
List the Squads you belong to, with your role, whether you hold a paid seat, and the invite link to share with teammates.
Edit the page
- Name, handle, description and category.
- The logo and the cover image, from any public image URL. daily.dev downloads and stores the image.
- Who can post and invite, whether posts need approval, and a minimum reputation to post.
- The Squad rules.
- The website and links shown on the page (any daily.dev for Startups plan).
Branding
Set your brand color and the header button that members see in place of Join Squad. The header button needs the Team plan or a Verified Company Squad. The brand color needs a Verified Company Squad. See Setting up your branding.
Products
Add products to the page, edit them, remove them, and set their order. Starter and Team show one product. Enterprise and Verified Company Squads show up to 20, each with its own tool page.
Members
List members with their roles and seats, promote or demote moderators and admins, and block or unblock users. Admins change roles. Moderators can block members too.
Seats
See your plan, its paid seats and the Cores in the Squad's wallet, and give or free a seat for any admin or moderator. Squad admins only. The person who pays for the plan always keeps their seat.
Analytics
Read the lifetime performance of the Squad's posts, and daily impressions for the last 45 days. For admins and moderators. See Post and Squad analytics.
Publish to daily.dev from your agent
Every seat holder can post to the Squad through the API or MCP, as themselves.
- Share a link with your commentary, or publish a written post with a title, body and image.
- Edit the title and content of your written posts later, or delete a post.
- Review posts. If your Squad approves posts before they go live, a new post is pending until a moderator approves it. Your agent can list pending posts and approve or reject them with a reason and a note to the author.
- Check how each post performs: lifetime analytics and daily impressions for posts you published.
Who can post through the API
Posting through the API is part of daily.dev for Startups. On a Squad with a plan, every paid seat holder can post, and an admin can give a seat to any admin or moderator. On a Verified Company Squad without a plan, admins and moderators can post. Everyone else gets an error that says why.
Posts are public. The publish tool tells your agent to confirm the text with you before it posts, and your posts follow the same content guidelines as any other post on daily.dev.
Weekly intel and content skills
Seat holders' agents can also read the Squad's weekly intel and change its topics and filters, then use it as context. The free content ideas and content review skills do that for you: they turn your team's recent work into post ideas, and review drafts against what your audience reads.
Try it
Once connected, ask your agent things like:
- "Which daily.dev Squads am I in? Give me the invite link for our company page."
- "Update our Squad description to match the hero copy on our homepage, and use our new logo from this URL."
- "Add our CLI as a product on the Squad page and put it first."
- "Give Dana a paid seat and make her a moderator."
- "Share our latest blog post to the Squad with a two-line comment. Show me the text first."
- "Approve the pending posts that follow our rules and reject the rest as off-topic."
- "How did our posts do over the last 45 days? Which one drove the most impressions?"

Tools that remove, block or reject something are marked destructive, so MCP clients can ask you before running them. Full request and response shapes are in the OpenAPI specification.
